Couples Therapy

Create the Relationship You Truly Want

All of us enter relationships with social conditioning. What we see and feel in our partnerships is often a reflection of what we have seen and felt in our original family systems. It is no wonder that relationships can get complicated fast or that couples often struggle to find common ground.

Nowhere in our education from elementary school onward are we taught how to build and sustain healthy relationships. Couples’ therapy is an invitation to better understand how relationships work and strengthen the skills you need to make them fulfilling and worthwhile. I want couples to start putting new relational skills into action as soon as possible. And to practice, practice, and keep practicing, so they leave couples’ therapy equipped to handle future challenges.

I practice Relational Life Therapy (RLT) because I find that its emphasis on mutual respect, accountability, skill building, and the idea that to strengthen a couple, you must strengthen the individuals within the couple.  If you are ready to view relationships in a new way, this is a transformative process that cultivates empathy, enhances communication, and builds loving, supportive relationships that can withstand life’s challenges.
